What we do
Stuck on what to feed a fussy toddler day after day? What do children like after nursery or school? What fresh and healthy food can everyone enjoy at a playdate? Are you facing a busy week at work which means less time in the kitchen? We can make your lives easier and tastier.
We take the ‘fuss’ out of baby & toddler food
Our super talented chef and mom Ayesha has created each recipe from scratch; producing fresh, homemade organic deliciousness in the form of nutritionally balanced meals, that are affordable and conveniently delivered to your doorstep. These come in recyclable, BPA-free packaging which can be stored in the fridge or freezer or popped straight into the oven or microwave. All this with no messy kitchen!
We conducted intensive research in our chosen markets and discovered that families do not have the time to prepare nutritious meals every day of the week. We also found out that there are many fussy eaters who will not consume many important food groups, that are essential for growth and development. We closed ourselves in the kitchen for months to test and and retest our recipes to perfection. We found that even the fussier eaters enjoyed what we made!
These meals could also pass your adult palate test, but our ultimate goal is that your children truly enjoy their meal time!
Who we are
We started off as a group of mums who are all foodies and want to provide what’s best for our children; a balance of different flavours combined with a nutritious meal without compromising on taste. Petite Cuisine was born from this coupling of nutrition & flavour.
Freshly cooked meals are prepared by our Cordon Bleu Chef and Mom that are also nutritionist-approved, organic and made from seasonal ingredients (subject to availability) to families based in London.
We firmly believe that you can develop the young toddler palate so that as they grow older they are able to enjoy food from different cuisines and that they consciously choose wholesome/nutritious foods. We work closely with one of the top UK dieticians specialising in paediatric nutrition.
Our seasonal menu caters to all the basic toddler groups. Our goal is to make meals a family affair as we also offer meal packages the whole family can enjoy together.
3 Busy mums
Mom to two children, including a toddler, Ayesha is our in-house Cordon Bleu trained chef. Her passion for cooking goes back to her school days where she studied food and nutrition. As she studied Business and Accounting, she continued with her passion for cooking. She received her diploma in French cuisine and French patisserie in 2009 from Le Cordon Bleu London.
She has worked in catering while being a full time mom, allowing her to focus on her two passions: cooking and family. She aims to recreate this at Petite Cuisine: a small business producing high quality food that makes the lives of parents a little easier.
Ayesha has developed each and every recipe with the goal of creating pure pleasure and satisfaction. For her, food is a means of bringing people together to spread warmth and love - and what better place to start than at home with your little ones!
Alexia has worked in communications for over a decade while being a passionate cook at home. After completing a bachelors degree in Psychology (BsC) which included baby and toddler development, she received a masters in London in Politics & Communications. Recently, she has worked for large corporations, both in the UK and internationally, defining their key messages and communicating them to different audiences including investors, employees and beyond. In Greece, her home country, she worked with numerous non-profit organisations, establishing awareness and fundraising relationships with businesses.
For Petite Cuisine, she oversees our communications and marketing strategy as well as our branding. She is dedicated to making your experience with us an unforgettable one.
Her favourite meal growing up was her mom's beef lasagna. Pasta still remains her's and her sons' and husband's favourite food! Her most memorable foodie experience has been by the seaside in Greece, enjoying some grilled fresh fish.
Zehra is a mother of a very naughty two-year-old who also happens to be a big foodie. She has a Bachelor of Science (with honours) in Psychology (including child psychology) from the University of Warwick and received her interior designing qualifications from the Inchbald School of Design. While she loves keeping her home on point and successfully employs various approaches of dealing with the terrible twos, her passion for feeding the family with nutritionally balanced meals is paramount.
Prior to co-founding Petite Cuisine she worked in her family business, running operations and finances and as an interior designer where amongst other projects, she has also designed a children’s clothing store.
Growing up in a large family, Zehra has enjoyed meals with her family from a very young age, which has made meal times all the more entertaining! She wants to encourage this tradition in her own family and others. She is passionate about travel and discovering new cuisines that she hopes will expand Petite Cuisine’s culinary offerings.
